03 Jun Imagine This: Amazing Accent Walls
We keep coming with new ways to accent and highlight with wallpaper in Richmond, Va. Wall coverings have come a long way since the ’80s. New printing techniques, specialty inks and textured substrates have me wallpapering the world!
While wallpapering an entire room might be a bit overpowering, I’ve recently been using these new styles for accent walls. Adding wallpaper to a specific area in a room provides an opportunity to showcase your style and pull the decor elements together.
A Subtle Pattern Calms a Tub Alcove
Candace Olson’s beautiful “Modern Fern” by York brings a calming color palette to this slipper tub alcove. The subtle pattern adds some style without overwhelming the clean, bright feeling.
Wallpaper Unifies a Guest Bedroom
Wallquest’s bold “Jacobean Flower” in blue is bold but unifying in this guest bedroom dormer.
Subtle Shimmer in a Master Bedroom
“Palladian” by York in aqua printed on foil shimmers subtly in this master sitting area. Adjacent to it we inserted a wallpaper accent into the tray ceiling. Notice the patterns don’t always have to match exactly. They can complement one another to create a chic style.
Adding a Hint of Luxury to a Living Room
“Metalique” by Natonal Wallcovering in the back of the built-in shelving adds a touch of glamour in this very chic living room. Imagine glimmers of this accent wallpaper showing behind the personal objects the owners add to their home.
