14 Jul Before and after: master bathroom
One my favorite projects of late is this total master bathroom makeover. Let’s take a look at the journey from before to after.
The Bathroom Cabinet, Before
The corner was slightly odd and not functional thanks to this display niche. In addition, the high ceilings were ignored. I saw so many storage possibilities!
This style of tub is now old fashioned. It was in need of an update.
My client gave me this photo for inspiration. I immediately noticed the storage, the bright white lighting, and the feminine styling. I always love when my clients share photos of rooms or furniture they like. It makes it easier for me to match their style preferences.
The Cabinet, After
We maximized storage and added elegance with molding and mirrors. By bringing the cabinet up to the level of the window over the tub, we added a lot of space and also style to the room.
The Tub, After
I set the elegant Ferguson DXV slipper tub at an angle to mimic the angled corner of the cabinets and pull the room together. The homeowner is an admirer of Jeffersonian architecture and appreciated the nod to his octagonal geometry.
More touches to help the room match the inspiration photo included the Capital Lighting chandelier and side lighting from Shades of Light. The York Wallcoverings wallpaper added a bit more color and personality to a mostly white room.
My client and I were both thrilled with the results. How can I help transform your home?
