Tips to Make Your Bedroom Feel like a Hotel

Tips to Make Your Bedroom Feel like a Hotel

You know that feeling when you wake up in a posh hotel room? It seems like the world is spoiling you and anything is possible…

That special sensation feels so good when you’re not at home. Why not replicate it in your own bedroom?

One of my favorite things about staying in a nice hotel is climbing into a crisply made bed.

Kathy Corbet Interiors can help you make your bedroom feel like a luxe hotel.

I also love rooms that have a unique focal point headboard wall.

These luxurious feelings don’t only have to happen when you’re out of town.

Here are our interior design tips to treat yourself with a bedroom that makes you feel like a fancy guest in your own home.

Separate your space into different little nooks

Have you ever noticed how hotel rooms have different little nooks for different activities?

Start by dedicating a corner for a reading area. Yes, you can read on your bed, but why would you when you have a marvelous, comfortable and inviting chair or a cute area for curling up and enjoying a special moment?

When we design cozy reading nooks, we often incorporate squishy throw pillows that add comfort and style. These have Turkish corners that help them stay super plump.

Splurge on a fancy bedding set

Pick sheets that are soft and feel luxurious. Time to give away your old sheets with stains and holes or the ones that don’t match and get yourself a set that makes you want to jump right in.

Choose sheets in neutral colors and add a splash of color using unique pillows or a bed cover.

Make your bed every morning, arrange the pillows, and see how great it feels to walk in your bedroom at night with a bed that is made and ready for you.

I like a washable coverlet that can be changed up with new throw pillows or a duvet folded at the foot of the bed. Two of my favorite brands are TL at home and Ann Gish.

Add a unique rug

Choosing natural colors for the walls like white, beige, or grey can help make the room feel more posh. To mix with the natural colors of the room, choose a colorful unique rug as a focal point or go all-in with one made from natural fibers. That will also make you feel cozier.

When shopping for rugs, measure and size first. How much of the floor do you want covered? Later, make sure to keep the rug cleaned and in good shape.

This plush, neutral rug still adds style with its subtle pattern.

Keep your space tidy

Organize your books and magazine so you can keep your nightstand clutter-free. Don’t let cords hang and tuck them away. A clean and organized room will feel so much nicer.

Go for a big bed

Is it time for you to have a new bed? Don’t be shy , choose a larger size, and invest in a comfortable comfortable mattress. An oversized bed makes the whole room! And don’t you just love spreading out in that big bed at night?

Select one big art piece

Frame an art piece that you love and hang it above your bed or choose a distinctive headboard to stand on its own. Don’t be afraid to go big there, too. It will really pop on a neutral wall and bring a nice focus to the room.

Looking for a new art piece? Determine the right size for your wall first, then search for the perfect piece or pieces.
