Farm table Dining nook
The client needed clearance to get from one room to the other without bumping into the large farm table. My solution was to install banquette seating along one side that would allow us to move the table out of the way. Note the slightly angled sides that “hug” the table and give it a cozy feel. Also, the slight pitch to the back makes it more comfortable than a dining chair.
Cozy Pantry turned dining nook
Here, the architect squeezed the dining nook into the former pantry! Sunbrella performance fabrics came to the rescue to make it child friendly, but still stylish.
Furniture banquette
We customized a settee for this oval dining table. By making the seat higher and firmer we could provide a comfortable way to dine. The chenille is a bleachable solution dyed acrylic.
Bay window
Once again we utilized Sunbrella fabrics to hold up to wear, tear and sunlight. The seat cushion was made with a spring down core, similar to a sofa, for comfort and durability. The throw pillows have Turkish corners to give them extra loft and squish.
Cozy reading nook
These homeowners have a remarkable book collection. We provided a variety places to read—some designed for hours some for a few moments. This window seat is a cozy perch for looking up an historical fact or favorite recipe. Classic Construction did the millwork.
Gaming Banquette
This is not a banquette for relaxing. Game on! This was designed with an Irish pub as the inspiration.
Reading corner
We embraced this odd angled wall in our built-in design by turning it into a reading nook. Built by Paul Weimer of Branch Furniture.
