Beverage Stations: crafting, pouring and brewing at home

Coffee bars, tasting rooms and cocktail corners are a regular request from our clients. It seems like everyone fancies themselves a barista, brewer or craft cocktail maker. We love giving our clients the space to delve into delicious hobbies. Here are a few of our favorite home bar installation projects.

Interior Design—Beverage Bar Installations

Kitchen Corner Bar

This was an award-winning kitchen for us.  We used a tight corner to house the wine collection and a built-in Thermador coffee/cappuccino maker.  Handmade Encore Ceramics tile and reclaimed wood give it a cozy look.

Kitchen Side Bar

We placed this one off to the side. Wine glasses and barware are conveniently tucked behind the prep area. Bonus: it does double duty as a work credenza by day!

Pub

Another award-winning project for us, an entire room in the basement was dedicated to an Irish Pub! We gave it a very authentic look with American Tin ceiling tiles, oak wainscot and brick veneer walls.

Under Stair Bar

You may not have an entire room, so why not utilize the space under the steps? The Smeg fridge adds vintage visual appeal and works well in tight places like this.

Bright Bar

We incorporated this colorful bar into a basement rec room.  Bright orange barstools, a New York Wall Coverings geode accent wall and the white monkey light helped us fulfill the fun vibe we were looking for.

Antique Bar

I came across this ornate antique bar and the mirror behind it at Louis and Lavender in The Antique Design Center at High Point Market. I want to design a home bar with these! Let’s update it with modern lighting and maybe that Santorus wallpaper from my June blog.

Eye Wear Bar

Even my commercial clients are setting up bars!  We included this coffee spot inside the front door at Nilsen Eye Care to give customers a familiar feel, just like a local coffee shop.
