Enjoy A Pick-Me-Up At Your Office Coffee Bar

A change in atmosphere can be very motivating. It is a way to press the refresh button. Providing a feel-good place in the office can deliver just this. A coffee bar can create a cafe or hotel-lobby-like space as an alternative to sitting at your desk. This little luxury can also help foster socialization and fun in your workday.

HERE ARE our favorite ways to BRING a coffee STATION TO THE OFFICE

1. Kettal Modular Furniture

Kettal furniture has modular pavilions that you can configure into any size space. These double as break rooms and workspace getaways. The ceiling defines the area, and the partition walls or curtains make it an escape.

2. Kimball modular cabinets

Kimball has a modular kitchen cabinet line that can provide a service area. This is great for smaller offices where you might not have room for extra seating.

3. Different Seating Areas to Consider

This cozy corner is in the National Furniture showroom. The curved sofa and chair, paired with the round stool, varying table heights, and an area rug, make this a welcoming corner for solo or collaborative work. This scene could have been plucked out of your neighborhood coffee shop and placed perfectly into an office setting.

The showroom at Kathy Corbet Interiors has a lovely little nook with chairs, an ottoman, and plenty of natural light. I love using this area for meetings with clients or brainstorming sessions with my team.

Everyone loves a bistro or bar-height table to perch at with a cup of coffee and laptop in hand. Incorporating dynamic pieces like these is an excellent way to add variety to a smaller office space. Or add it to your work-from-home office to mix up the work day! You can also find this at the National Furniture’s showroom.

Our own bistro table has room for four to collaborate or relax.

We have an assortment of floor pillows for the more daring and laid-back workers. Note how it is backed by an organic accent wall, transporting you from the office to out in nature. This area would be great for a creative workspace to inspire your team to think outside the box (or desk). This is from the Momentum Textile showroom at Neocon this past spring.

Our design for Nilsen Eye Care placed their coffee bar in a retail space. It serves as a comfortable waiting area and workstation with personality.
