New technology with fireplace inserts and innovations with non-combustible materials have allowed us to take fireplace design to a whole new level.  Do you have fireplace envy?  Are you ready for a cozy, warm fireplace in your home?

Here are some of the fireplace updates we’ve implemented.

COLONIAL TO CONTEMPORARY COPPER

Dining Room Fireplace Before:

This wood burning fireplace was too colonial and too crowded for this dining room. We removed the built ins, added large windows and then clad the brick in copper toned tile to compliment the copper top dining table. Look at the transformation!

ELECTRIC FIREPLACE INSERTS

Before:

Electric you say? Yes, seriously. I have updated a few rooms now with electric fireplace inserts. They allow you to create a warm ambience without too drastic a build out. Here we used the extra depth needed for the insert to place a niche for African masks.

After:

LINEAR FIREPLACE

Linear fireplaces work so well when a TV is involved. We just reworked the old fireplace by cladding it in tile.

FIREPLACE AS FOCAL POINT

Before:

Here we brook up a floating fireplace on a vast, wide and tall wall with natural stone. It really warms up the room and complements the vaulted ceiling. Shelving adds style, storage and additional visual interest.
