HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 3: ROUND AND CURVILINEAR

We have been overloaded with geometric shapes over the last decade.  Now we see the same ideas recreated with curves and circles. The trend is making the rounds. Read Chloe Dimink’s take on the curved sofa trend and Savvy Heart’s piece about curved furniture.

This is part three in a series: The High Point Market is the largest furniture trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point, North Carolina, every six months. I always scout for fresh furniture for my clients and trends to inform my recommendations. For the next few weeks I’ll be sharing spring market trends with you in a series. View the natural  and black-white-natural.

HIGH POINT TREND: ROUND AND CURVILINEAR

Scallops rule in this bedroom. I love how the headboard at bench echo the same shape. And don’t miss the bottom of the dresser!

I love the sexy curves of the brass topped with the round white globes.

GLOBAL VIEWS CONSOLE TABLE

Look at this modern way to display by Global Views.

This recent lighting install we did really illuminates the trend.

The frame adds texture and style. This could hang in an entry way or a stylish vanity or closet area.

A side table like this is a great way to add a soft edge to your square sofa ends.

What a quirky and unexpected decor element.

I can’t imagine specifying this for your family room, but what fun it would be in hotel lobby.

This is round or split—keep it together as a coffee table, then split it apart to make extra drink space when you have company. I love flexible use furniture.

Even accessories can get in the round game.
