At Market: democratized chairs—a fit for everyone!
How do we know if a chair is comfortable? We try them all out! At High Point Market, we sit on chairs galore, we note the comfort level and we note what each chair is best used for. Indulge in this blog and join the team as we do our sit tests or contact us and stop by the studio to try some winners out for yourself.

HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 6.5: ANIMAL VASES
We saw lots of human faces on vases at the High Point Market, but animals were losing their heads, too! We expect to see more of these at the next market.
HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 6: FACES AND VASES
Bust A Move? The traditional Roman bust as decor started a few years ago. Now they are more expressive! Creativity is encouraged by opening the top and allowing us to give them a hairstyle.
How can this trend work in your home? MyDomaine says it can make your home feel like a museum. Here’s HGTV’s guide for adding vintage faces to your space.
HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 5: MUSHROOM MOTIF
Avocados were a millennial favorite and now we all eat them. Who knew Brussels sprouts were such an essential? Now mushrooms are showing up on menus everywhere, even in coffee. Could this mushroom motif trend become a home decor trend, too? Elle just called them design’s hottest trend and they were all over High Point, too!
HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 4: BURNT AND CHARRED
This trend may even still be in the fad category right now. It first appeared a few years ago with “fumed” oak flooring and then the matte black trend. Now it is appearing in accessories. I look forward to how this plays out in the upcoming year.
HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 3: ROUND AND CURVILINEAR

HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 2: BLACK-WHITE-NATURAL
Over the years we have seen black and white trends and matte black and gold trends. Now we are seeing matte black and white with natural colors and materials. Some showrooms called it “Primitive Modern.”
HIGH POINT TREND REPORT PART 1: THE NATURALS
For the next few weeks I’ll be sharing spring market trends with you in a series. My first pick is all about naturals. Grass, Rattan, Caning…if it is natural and you can weave it we saw it! Palacek and Schwung both feature looks that embrace Mother Nature. This trend isn’t only visible at High Point, RHome magazine even did an a piece on where to find nature-inspired decor in Richmond, Virginia.
